Murmuration
A flock of birds swirls around this tall bowl.
A couple of years ago there was a murmuration of starlings flying over my studio every evening for a few weeks. I think everyone who has seen such an amazing ariel spectacle is enthralled and delighted by this natural phenomenon. I wanted to try and capture some of the feeling of space, skill and control seen within a flock; so, I have etched the glass on both sides making many of the birds seem to overlap but never touch.
