Swallows
Swallows swoop and swirl around the edge of these bowls which is sandblasted on both sides. There is an impression of movement and speed as birds appear to move in front or behind each other.
This pattern was inspired by a weekend spent in a very hot craft tent at an event. The shadows of the swallows flying over the canvas was mesmerising. These delicate but resilient birds are so beautiful; a wonderful sign that summer is on its way and something I eagerly await in the cold winter months.
