Swans
A flock of swans fly across the bowl.
We often get groups of swans resting on the Hirsel Lake during their migrations to and from northern breeding grounds. We also often have a few pairs of mute swans taking up residence when the colony at nearby Berwick upon Tweed gets big enough for overspill. Seeing a wedge of swans skimming the rooftops of the Homestead is a wonderful sight and inspired this design.
