This bowl with a flock of small birds chasing mayflies is an early example of me playing with ideas for birds in flight. When I’m developing a new design, I will sometimes try different variations of the idea, while it’s still in development, to see how they ’feel’. I really like this pattern, but it has been overtaken by my “murmuration” design for the time being. I might return to it one day.
There is nothing wrong with this piece it is reduced to make space for my new designs.

The pattern is hand drawn and sandblasted into the surface of the glass, so each piece is completely unique.
